PLYMOUTH PIE CLUB NEEDS YOU….

URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS FOR WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIME MEAL DELIVERIES FOR SHEILDED ELDERLEY & VULNERABLE

Plymouth PIE Club CIC (Park-lifers in Exile) was set up by Martin Stephens who manages the Park cafes in Devonport, Victoria and Freedom Fields parks.  This was in direct response to the elderly and vulnerable going into protective self-isolation as a result of the virus.  Our community organisation is volunteer-led and we provide the following services:

  • Delivery of free wholesome meals on Wednesday.
  • Essential shopping,
  • Delivery of prescription medications,
  • Dog-walking
  • Welfare phone calls.

Although ‘lock-down’ is easing,  many of our vulnerable service users have been advised by the NHS and Public Health to self-isolate for much longer – till the end of the year.  In addition some of our volunteers are going back to work.

If this driving role is something you would like to do , please let us know via our Facebook page or text or phone : 07983 697866.

Ask for Chloe, Paige or Gen.

We look forward to hearing from you
