Girlguiding Plympton

Type: Emotional / social support, Governance/Leadership, Information / advice, Tutoring / Coaching

Location: All of Plymouth

Girlguiding Plympton offers opportunities to girls and young women to develop skills, try something new and have adventures. We are run entirely by volunteers and follow the Girlguiding programme to make sure girls have a brilliant experience in a safe and welcoming space.

We’re in urgent need of two new Brownie leaders for Monday evenings. Working with an experienced team, we’ll help you to plan and deliver a brilliant experience for the Brownies. Aged 7-10, these girls are full of enthusiasm and love their time in the unit having adventures, making things, learning skills and working as a team. Being a Brownie leader is so rewarding.

Brownie meetings take place weekly on a Monday evening and we’re looking for two leaders to attend every week. There’s also behind-the-scenes planning and some admin that can be done from home. We’re looking to build a great team to run the Monday evening unit – why not consider volunteering with a friend so that you have the support right there and you can have this brilliant volunteering experience together? There’s lots of additional support though, a leadership qualification which equips you with all the knowledge you need (though isn’t daunting or too much work) and a programme to follow created by Girlguiding. You can find out more on the Girlguiding website.
