The Horticultural Therapy Trust (HTT) are looking for volunteers for a gardening therapy project which supports participants who experience mental health issues, especially towards a place for respite and recovery following effects of Covid 19  crisis, ‘a place to help people get back on their feet’.

Volunteers need to be trustworthy and reliable, importantly have mentoring/empathic skills, and enjoy being and working outdoors.  You would be part of a team of mixed abilities and needs and whilst gardening experience is not needed, a love of gardening and nature is. Staff will be at all times responsible but volunteers will also need to help participants keep safe in following safeguarding guidelines for Covid 19 such as social distancing.

Volunteers are of great value as part of HTT and much needed at this time, much of what is needed is a good listening ear and also a smile.
