COVID-19 Vaccination Program – Volunteers

Type: Covid-19, Emotional / social support, Information / advice

Location: All of Exeter, All of Plymouth, N. Devon, Torbay

AMAZING DEVON!

Volunteer recruitment temporarily suspended.

In the space of just 4 weeks over 2000 citizens have come forward to volunteer as Stewards for the vaccination program that is now up and running. Our partners RE:ACT are currently loading all volunteers through their rostering system and we are suspending recruitment until we are aware of any future needs. What we want to minimise is the numbers of volunteers signing up and being unable to actually book a shift. As soon as we are sure there is a need to increase the numbers of volunteers we will begin recruitment again.

With the rollout of a Covid-19 mass vaccination programme now starting, we and the Plymouth Good Neighbours Scheme, are working with organisations across Devon recruiting volunteers to help at vaccination centres.

Please Note: We are sorry to say that due to the increased risk faced by older age groups to the virus, we are unable to accept offers of volunteering from those aged over 69.

Whilst Internal stewards will:
