As we all look forward to a gradual process bringing us out of a year under Covid-19 restrictions, the idea of getting to meet people again is becoming an exciting reality. What better way is there of doing this than taking on some volunteering? We are all very aware how hard the lockdown has been on our local charities so your help in getting their retail outlets up and running again would be invaluable.
Scope are looking for just that kind of help and are seeking volunteers just like you. You can learn new skills, interact with people, make new friends and even get qualifications whilst you volunteer.
From customer service skills to donation sorting you could really make a huge difference to the organisation along with the personal satisfaction of doing good for others.
Scope is a national disability charity that campaigns to challenge and change negative attitudes about disability and provides direct services. The organisation was founded in 1952 by a group of parents and social workers who wanted to ensure that their disabled children had the right to a decent education.
