I found Volunteer Plymouth’s website a really easy service to use, it’s very user friendly and through it I found an opportunity I enjoy. I love sports and being active, I feel it is something that everyone should be able to take part in.”

Hayley coaches badminton within the sports club, training those who a end the club for competions both regionally and nationally. When asked how her life has improved since volunteering, Hayley responded:

“Volunteering has given me the opportunity to be part of a eld I want to work in, I have learnt how to be flexible to meet people’s needs and love that I can bring so much joy to other people. I feel it has enhanced my job prospects at the same me as allowing others to learn new skills. My confidence has grown and I would absolutely recommend others to volunteer!”

Hayley has also been given training through the organisation and is currently completing her level 2 badminton coaching qualification.
