Sail GP 2022

SailGP takes place on Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st July 2022. Volunteers are to arrive at The Hoe Bowling Green for a 10.30am briefing. The Race village is open between 12 - 6pm Race time 3 - 4.30pm. Lunch will be provided as will a SailGP branded T-shirt and hat. See below for the role descriptions for both days and the bottom of the page to view the current rota that will be updated at least twice a week.

Validating spectator tickets using a ticket scanner and distributing wristbands to spectators. (Please can the individuals be comfortable using technology i.e. an iPhone / Tablet) Some of these roles will not be required past 4pm 30 volunteers required each day.

Providing information about the event to visitors. This role is filled on Saturday but 2 volunteers are still required for Sunday.

Welcoming & directing people into the venue - showing people which entrance etc. 7 volunteers required each day.

Helping direct people when they leave the venue thanking them for coming etc. 5 volunteers required each day.

Activations area encouraging people to interact and get involved - 2 volunteers required each day.

Information point and assisting people with directions to onward travel.

Directing people to the spectator boats/ providing information.

Directing anyone arriving by train & providing info - 2 volunteers required each day.
