Plymouth on TV tonight!

You may have already spotted this on our social media channels, but this weekend Plymouth is taking a starring role on screen as it’s the Plymouth episode of Britain’s Most Historic Towns.

Presented by Professor Alice Roberts, the show was filmed back in February and features lots of major local landmarks – including Plymouth Hoe, The Box and the Elizabethan House.

The episode explores Elizabethan Plymouth, telling the story of England’s ‘Golden Age’ from Sir Francis Drake to the Spanish Armada, piracy, theft and local connections to the slave trade.

The programme is on tonight Saturday 28 November at 8.30pm on Channel 4 and will be available to watch on All 4 afterwards.
