Loneliness Awareness Week

Loneliness Awareness Week (15-19 June)

All of us can experience loneliness at some point in our lives. The impact of Covid-19 has only shone a greater spotlight on the issue, so it’s time we started talking about it.

This Loneliness Awareness Week, #LetsTalkLoneliness. This DCMS campaign will be featured on social media, advertising, and every letter that Royal Mail sends this week. We’ll be raising awareness of the issue and encouraging people to reach out and connect with others, through phone calls, online groups or (socially distanced) volunteering.

We’ll be extending to the weekend, encouraging virtual meet-ups through the Jo Cox Foundation’s ‘Great Get Together’ and our #PlayandTalk weekend in collaboration with UKIE, the UK’s trading body for games and entertainment.

We ask that you retweet, share and promote our campaign this week, signposting people to updated information and support on our ‘Let’s Talk Loneliness’ website.
